Where is Mad Men? I am sorely missing the Sunday night series that has been a tradition these past four seasons. My hubby just doesn’t want to watch The Housewives on New Jersey with me….not sure why.

It was another busy wedding season at Gales Designs! Working with brides is one of my favorite parts of designing jewelry. I have really enjoyed all the brides I have met through the years, and the spring and summer brides this year are no exception!
We have designed some great pieces TOGETHER and that is what makes it even more exciting for me. I have also met some wonderful mother of the brides, too, who wore great statement pieces that added some sparkle and shine for the big day.
Nicole let her bridesmaid pick what they wanted to wear, so they had two different designs below…….

August is here…but I am not ready to say goodbye to summer or the garden…even when making jewelry. These necklaces are all adorned with a vintage flower, because we can all use a pop of color in every season. I went to a new store in NYC and found a great selection of rhinestones. These needed to be purchased in wholesale/bulk quantities…..of course, not a problem for me as I love to embellish many a Gales Designs piece with rhinestones, be they vintage or new. This will come in handy as many brides I am working with who are looking for something special and the rhinestones give it just the right look.

This necklace has been a Gales Designs classic. The sterling pieces combine to make a statement necklace that never trends out of style. But the best part is that it can be worn in so many different ways. Designs vary, too, so each one can be a little unique to your taste!
The necklace is two pieces..a monogram pendant and a sterling link necklace with either silver (shown above), pearl and crystal (below) or any combo you can imagine.

Or they can be worn with just chain showing in the front….
Finally, you can wear the monogram pendant in other ways, too. Try it on a silver chain….

I have been busy making some very new things for Gales Designs store but using some very old pieces. I have started making these one of a kind cuffs and the first batch sold out quickly. Here is the next installment of stainless steel bracelets adorned with vintage bling. Each is one of a kind.
Also new for Spring is the addition of rings! So many people have asked me about making rings and viola! Here they are making their debut. These fun rings are on adjustable thick stainless steel bands and are again embellished with one of a kind vintage finds. These will make a very fun statement!
And of course the collection is not complete without the pendants. These are simple statement pieces that complement a pair of jeans and a t-shirt and/or the little black (insert any color) dress. My personal favorites are the pearls and crystals.
These will work their way over to the shop…the last piece is already there and these are backed with sterling and come with a sterling chain.
